This is definitely a must do experience in Vic Falls. A unique chance to have authentic Zimbabwean food with the origins of the foods explained for each course. The food was delicious and I was so full by the end, make sure you have an empty stomach when you go there. The staff were fantastic and also knowledgeable about all of the different menu items. The place was decorated colourfully using recycled materials, making for a fun, relaxed atmosphere. There is a small gift shop, with locally made items, which was handy for some last minute souvenirs. Would definitely recommend the Dusty Rd Township experience.

Deciding where to eat when you’re on holiday can be a tricky business. Even when there are ample sources of recommendations, there’s always that nagging feeling in the back of your mind about whether you’re really getting to eat what the locals themselves would choose.

Whilst it is true that many locals wouldn't be able to afford the set price menu - Dusty road goes a long way to show case the incredible diversity of Zimbabwean produce and supports the local community with jobs (we counted at least 10 staff) and sponsors children less well off in the local area.

Stunning place to stay! The staff were incredible - especially Irene as she was a ray of sunshine! 

The food was also delicious and we had some fabulous game drives. Manny was our guide with a trainee called Harry and they were both true professionals that made the trip very fun and very informative. We saw lions, leopards, elephants and so much more. This place is such a hidden gem.

Chikunto Safari Lodge is definitely a gem in South Luangwa Park. Wonderfully comfortable accommodations, Michelin-worthy meals, a welcoming friendly staff, and some of the best bush guides I've ever met.  I have stayed at other safari lodges in Africa at nearly triple the cost and Chikunto easily met those standards.  My room was extremely clean and comfortable, the showers were wonderful with ample pressure and really hot water, the hot water bottle for keeping the bed warm actually stayed warm all night, and same day laundry service. I had failed to bring the correct electrical adapter, which might have been a bit of a disaster, but the lodge loaned me two adapters for my room.  WiFi is bus

I recently spent a few days at this wonderful luxury camp, in such a remote and beautiful part of The Kafue.

Thanks to Andrea, Katy and team for taking such good care and treating me with the most delicious cuisine.

The wild and remote location offers a private concession feel, but with an abundance of wildlife in the region.
